[Well this was just perfect. All he had wanted was to take a nice, long nap after that last battle with Ryuukotsusei, and what did he get? Dumped off in some strange world, apparently. The city almost reminded him of Kagome's era, but it was also different. This place reaked of death and decay, and it almost felt like dark shadow was hanging over everything, sucking the life out of it. No doubt this was one of Naraku's little tricks.]


[There's no time to fret about this unwanted development, though. Inuyasha is very hard at work trying to figure important things out. Like what the hell this stupid technological contraption is supposed to be.]


[After a while, the PCD is accidentally turned on, just in time for those listening to hear Inuyasha talking to himself.]


-ooks like one of Kagome’s picture boxes, only this one’s smaller…



[He looks over the device for a bit longer, only to give a low growl and a short curse.]


Damn it all. [The PCD is tossed over his shoulder and quickly forgotten.] I don’t have time for this! I gotta find Kagome and the others. It’s faint, but I can definitely smell traces of Kagome and Sango around here. Not to mention Sesshoumaru and that bastard Naraku...



[Getting down on all fours, Inuyasha starts sniffing the ground, trying to pick up a better scent trail. This faithful puppy won’t stop until he’s found his friends.]

[Should he feel relieved or annoyed? On the one hand, he would be able to test his Tokijin against Tetsusaiga once more. On the other hand, now he'd have to deal with Inuyasha's idiocy again. So he settled for expressing neither emotion.

[With the madness of the last few days, Juliet has, with one notable exception, kept indoors, her needlework and household chores interrupted by brief scans through the device for any news of her friends. She startles at hearing Kagome's name, then Sango's, then Naraku's (the latter spoken of with no respect, thankfully) and switches the feed so she may speak to the man.]

Are you a friend to Sango and Kagome, good sir?

[He squints his eyes at the screen. It really is like one of those 'teevee' things; the picture keeps changing without warning.]

I've never seen you around before. How do you know Kagome and Sango?

I have known Sango almost since I arrived to this place, good sir. We have grown to be very good friends in the last four months. I have met Kagome only recently, and she seems to me a fine and respectable woman, as is Sango.

[...That boy looks painfully familiar, at least in very basic features. Silver/white hair, ears and tail, and gold eyes. But after a moment, Kurama Shuichi recognizes this isn't a youko, but rather a dog demon. With the swirls of reiki and youki constantly mixing here, he can't tell yet how strong the demon is, but for now he'll play nice, as always.]
